I barely remember the gig you did down here at the Knight Center with Al Di and Stan Clarke, but the three of you were just amazing. You went into a Coltrane set and it just blew the audience's mind, including me.
Cosmic Messenger is one of my favorite albums. I wish you could get those guys together again, but do hope you'll come our way in the next few months.

Saw the band some years ago when I was working in London, always check to see where you guys are playing - anywhere near the UK and I will try and get there!

Hello Mr JLPonty so happy I will see you again , was at Cascais Jazz Festival 1972 and became a fan of your music, we saw you at Vila Real 2006 and we met in the hotel and you were very kind with us.
Love what you did with Frank Zappa, maybe you could play 20 small cigars or king kong but if you don't it' ok I will be happy to see you in good health and your wonderful performance again.

Really enjoyed hearing Demogamania on the 2009 tour-that composition really rocks. The youtube version, FWIW, has more synthesizer sounds (because JLP is playing both violin and synthesizer). I especially like the synthesizer backing up Chris Rhyne's solo. Would be nice to see another synthesizer on stage in future concerts...with JLP or a guitarist playing...but I'm always glad to see JLP, any time, any place.

The Zappanale festival in Northern Germany being about Frank Zappa's music, we included 2 of his pieces in the middle of my regular program, and I chose 2 songs that Frank had arranged for my 1969 solo album King Kong, the title track 'King Kong' and the beautiful melody 'Twenty Small Cigars', without changing the original arrangements except for the end of King Kong. I must say that the audience was great, from all over Europe and some from the U.S. as well, and their reaction to our set was fantastic.

I much prefer JLP's music to that of Frank Zappa, but this performance really made me stop and listen, particularly William Lecomte's solo. Band performance, as always, is excellent.
Jean Luc, did you put this arrangement together just for this concert? Or is this part of your band's current repertoire?
