Christmas
John D
Huntersville NC USA
In church this morning I heard a beautiful arrangement of "Silent Night"-just piano and a handbell choir. Imagine if our favorite violinist/composer had been a part of that performance...
So with that, I'll be a little early and wish everyone a Merry Christmas:
-to the folks in the JLP office-Michael, Vic, and anyone else I do not know...thank you so much for taking care of things so that Jean Luc can do what he loves to do;
-to the road crews who ensure the lights are on, the sound is mixed right, and the equipment is ready for these wonderful musicians to pour forth their enthusiasm and creativity;
-to the families of those who tour with JLP-our thanks to you for supporting the JLP crew and sharing these people with us;
-to the fans whose enthusiasm must compensate for the challenges of musicians on tour;
-to the musicians who tour with Jean Luc-thank you for making each performance so memorable;
-and to Jean Luc-thank you for continuing to share your beautiful and inspiring music with us. It means so much to us in more ways than we can express.
Best wishes to all!

Someone took some video footage of the U.S. Navy's crack flight team, the "Blue Angels", and added "Mirage" for a soundtrack. I think if I had done this, I would have used "In The Fast Lane" and/or "Egocentric Molecules" instead!

2009 tour/older compositions?
John D
Huntersville NC USA
Hi folks,
When I saw the Youtube clip of Jean Luc and band performing "Cosmic Messenger" back in October, I started to think about what older JLP compositions might it be fun to hear in concert, especially with Damien on drums. So far, my "choices" are:
1. Far From The Beaten Paths;
2. Peace Crusaders.
What other ideas do other fans have?

Perfect pitch/absolute pitch
John D
Huntersville NC USA
I'm not sure what "absolute pitch" means, but Michael's comments about Jean Luc's abilities sound like perfect pitch to me. As I understand it, in simple terms, a note is sounded, and the person with perfect pitch can identify the note correctly(i.e. identify it as F#) or play the exact pitch-in either case, without a visual prompt, such as seeing someone depress a particular key on a piano-it's all done by ear.

Perfect pitch
Michael/JLP Productions
Bruno, I am not sure about the exact meaning of perfect pitch, all I can tell you is that Jean Luc can sing or play any note or sound that he hears, instrument, car horn etc.
